Will Testerman
Will is a fly fishing guide who has built his life around moving water and rising trout.
From the time he could hold a fly rod, he’s been drawn to the quiet rhythm of rivers – learning their moods, studying the habits of fish, and spending countless hours perfecting his cast. What began as a childhood obsession grew into a lifelong calling, rooted in a deep respect for wild places and the craft of fly fishing itself.
Over the past two summers, Will has guided and honed his skills at Kelly Galloup’s Slide Inn on Montana’s legendary Madison River. Immersed in the heart of western trout country, he’s spent long days exploring challenging water, tying and testing new patterns, and learning from some of the most respected anglers in the sport. Those seasons in Montana have shaped his approach to guiding – blending technical, genuine appreciation for the art, tradition, and community that make fly fishing timeless.
When the weather turns cold, Will returns to the Southeast, guiding through the winter for The Caddis Shack Toccoa and River Through Atlanta. Known for his enthusiasm and contagious passion for fly fishing (and
Georgia Bulldogs football!), he loves sharing his knowledge with anglers of all levels – from helping a newcomer land their first trout to fine-tuning a seasoned caster’s drift. For Will, every day on the river is another chance to connect people to the water, the fish, and the quiet joy that keeps him coming back.
