Fishing Report/Gifts

We have been enjoying this exceptional weather during our Fall-brown-trout-blitz-bite with many specimen fish to the net on streamers and nymphs. Blue-winged-olive mayflies have been hatching steady bringing pods of fish to the surface for dry fly which we will enjoy all winter long. Lake Sidney Lanier has been in thermal transition and we predict a late stratification should likely occur the week after Christmas creating those beautiful emerald green flows.

Please contact us for a variety of fly fishing services that we provide from entry level fly fishing group classes to private instruction or maybe a half or full day drift or wade guide trip. New for 2016 we will offer intro classes to the “lost art” of spey-casting for groups or individuals with applications for trophy trout, salmon and striped bass. The Chattahoochee River is an ideal location to learn to spey fish with more than ample space to cast and endless sand/gravel bars in which to wade. Gift certificates are available upon request good for one year from date of purchase except group fly fishing classes.

This book is a great resource for those who love to travel to great areas to fly fish. Authors Terry and Wendy Gunn collaborated with local experts to write each chapter detailing everything from best hotels to fly shops to guide services unique to 57 Rivers in the United States.

More gift Ideas

Of course most of our gift certificates are issued for fly fishing related items but we have found that many of our customers have a keen interest in wing shooting for waterfowl. We have private wetlands near to Atlanta in the Chattahoochee River watershed for puddle ducks or 1.5 hours on the Coosa River or 2 hours away on the Tennessee River in Alabama for rare trophy ducks like canvasbacks and goldeneyes.
