John Scalley

Born in the early ’60s, John Scalley received his BS degree from Berry College in 1986 majoring in Animal Science /Agricultural Business. He started fishing the Chattahoochee River as a boy at age nine upstream of Morgan Falls catching warm water species in the backwaters, and trout in the main stem.
John loves both fresh and saltwater fishing of all descriptions. His North American experience includes Alaska, Canada, and the Rockies from Montana to Colorado. Internationally, John has experience trout angling in Ireland and New Zealand. His saltwater angling has taken him to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Australia where he holds a single angler continental bill fishing record in Australian waters off the Great Barrier Reef for catching and releasing nine billfish in one day — seven black marlin and two Pacific sailfish. John has been guiding friends and clients all his life.
